Batman Begins (2005 film)

He sure does begin. Then again, we’ve known how he begins—his parents die and he becomes a Batman. Everything up until he becomes Batman doesn’t matter because he doesn’t matter until an antagonist shows up. And who plays the main villain? Mr. Boring himself, who is here to make Batman Begin and steal the spotlight from Scarecrow, who wears a mask and scares the dad from “In The Bedroom” into insanity. I might’ve accidentally made this sound interesting, but most of “Begins” consists of a whole lot of nothing happening. “Begins” keeps feeling as though it is getting started.
