I recognize there’s a lot of people who would respond negatively to a feature-length conversation between two people, and I’m not one of them. Jesse and Céline do more than give each other kissy faces for ninety minutes—they challenge each other to let down their guards and examine what’s left when you’re not weighed down by the world. There’s no bombast to all of this, no expertly-crafted tableaus, heck, there’s hardly a plot once these two get off the train, and if you’re not down with romance in your character studies, there’s nothing for you here.
