Daredevil (Into the Ring)
This is much easier to appreciate now that it’s on Disney+. Pairing it with NetMahvel’s other myriad of mid-2010s fare positioned it as yet another Netflix’s title with overlong episodes that, for all their merits, read like the Diet Coke version of a great show, but while “Daredevil”, as of at least its pilot, still registers as a subpar episode of “Hannibal”, its embrace of colorless procedural tropes now works well as contrast to Marvel’s established energetic homogeneity. Granted, the procedural format is a relic of a long dead era of television, but in a vacuum, this isn’t the worst.
