Derry Girls (Season Two)

The best pure comedy on television (not counting dramedies like “Atlanta” and “Fleabag”), “Derry Girls” makes ensemble situation comedy look easy. This was a little better than the debut season, discarding all notion of a bizarro episode and giving the game cast so much more to work with, most significantly Orla, a daffy nuisance in the first season that evolves into what is best described as an alien doing a halfway-convincing job of impersonating a human being in this season. If there’s a pointed negative to convey, it’s that the accents are even thicker this season, so turn subtitles on.
