Eddie Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio, from the June 23, 2005 episode of WWE Smackdown!

I believe it was impossible for these two to have a bad singles match at this point, and the start-and-stop nature of this bout didn’t bother me; this is a blood feud, they’re allowed to set up painful spots. I can’t say this was close to topping many of their efforts in WCW, however, not when so much of it was built around chinlocks and ab stretches that didn’t go anywhere. This was also built as the blowoff, which it wasn’t (that came in the infamous ladder match for custody of a child (really)). Still better than the WrestleMania match.
