Ex Drummer (2007 film)

What would happen if you combined the gallows humor (if you can even call it that) of the second half of “Trainspotting” with the assault on decency and the senses that is the second half of “Requiem for a Dream”, then tried to stretch this nightmarish concoction out over the course of an entire film? The resulting horror show probably wouldn’t be much more offensive than “Ex Drummer”, a movie as unforgettable as the Zapruder film and almost as nasty. It’s also visually striking and has a kickass soundtrack, so, you know, mixed bag. That’s horror for you: It’s Unpleasant!
