Fighting With My Family (not to be mistaken for “The Wrestlers: Fighting With My Family”)

Jim Cornette is on record saying he’s forbidden his family from watching “The Wrestler”, an outstanding film that paints a business whose main draws don’t have health insurance in a negative light. This biographical film isn’t nearly as good, but I’d imagine he’d have a far easier time letting his loved ones watch this. Florence Pugh as Saraya “Paige” Knight gets to emote more in this conventional dramedy than she did in her other big role this year, but Jack Lowden as Zak “Zodiac” Knight nearly steals the show when he’s tasked with conveying depression. Lightweight, but agreeable and entertaining.
