Five Nights at Freddy’s (2023 film)

“Banana Splits” was better. At least that film consistently tried to be scary, which is more than FNAF attempts. I went in with the expectation of a few low-rent jumpscares dressed up with fake-outs and I didn’t even get that much as the FNAF film is more like a lame melodrama in which the boy from “Bridge to Terabithia”, now a grown man who can’t act, tries to come to terms with a tragedy from his past while providing for his vaguely-coded Aspie sister (whose performer also can’t act). Not the worst horror film of the fall, but horrible nonetheless.
