The Devil in Me (also marketed as “The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me”) (PS5 version)

Surprisingly high-concept for a “Saw” knockoff (and shockingly long, too—almost as long as “The Quarry”), “The Devil in Me” has a lot of unsettling violence and harrowing situations…that I had to learn about from secondary sources because I had a perfect playthrough. I had expected to lose one of my crew through hazards that could have come with the newfound inventory system, but items only matter in one puzzle and there’s no way to not have that item in your possession. This was easily the scariest Dark Pictures title and a lot of fun, but not Supermassive’s best.
