Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang) vs. Flash Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews vs. GYV (James Drake and Zack Gibson) for the NXT UK Tag Team Championship, from WWE NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff

This might be the second-best match on this card despite being virtually perfect. On top of everyone having clearly-defined characters that complement each other (Gallus are rugged beasts, Webster and Mandrews are the fun-loving babyfaces, and GYV are cheating bastards) and the low point of execution being Webster throwing loose dropkicks like he’s Gibson or Morton, the closing stretch sees all involved playing with expectations that come from being a dedicated wrestling fan; it’s like the “Breaking Bad” of wrestling matches. It’s a spotfest, no doubt, but it’s a masterfully well-constructed spotfest, on par with the three-way from TNA’s “Unbreakable”.
