Being the end of a storyline that has been told over the course of more than two years, a lifetime by modern standards, means these two would have to constantly trip over their shoelaces (or have the wrong guy go over) to be anything besides wholly satisfying. That said, if a work of fiction can be measured by its conveyance of emotion at the climax, then this was pro wrestling at its finest, like if Andre vs. Hogan was good. I don't know if this was AEW's best match but it was definitely their most important and they nailed it.
