Kenta Kobashi vs. Toshiaki Kawada, from All Japan Giant Series 1993 Night Twenty

How good were Kawada and Kobashi? Well, they had no chemistry in this singles match but managed to have a decent bout through their combined talent regardless. They basically exchanged holds for twenty minutes until it was time to start the head-dropping part of the match, and while making this a tale of who has better submission holds practically spoils who wins, they still worked with enough purpose to make it more interesting than many working at the height of their powers. It probably helps the perception of this match that Misawa had one of his worst matches right afterwards.
