Legends of Wrestling (PS2 version)

A game that looks a million times better in screenshots than in action. You can see the game they were trying to make, but “Legends of Wrestling” feels like it needed another year of development time. There’s just so little to do—the career mode sucks, there aren’t enough characters, and character creation tools are severely limited—and the in-ring action is too stilted to be interesting for too long. It is considerably less buggy than future games in the series, but some of the biggest flaws in the series were never corrected. This is fifteen minutes of meaningful enjoyment.
