“Listen, You Pencil Neck Geeks” by "Classy" Freddie Blassie and Keith Elliot Greenberg

While Foley and Jericho were able to find the thematic through-lines in their lives and careers and come up with strong, compelling ways to tell their life stories, Blassie and this book’s co-author have trouble connecting the dots to tell this story. He’s got some funny stories to tell, and he’s honest about his faults and mistakes, but I didn’t come away from this thinking, “Whoa, what an incredible tale.” The strongest parts involve Blassie going over how his business used to run; really, this reads better as a detailed account of how much more worse wrestling used to be.
