Modern Family (Season One) (revisited)

Nothing like watching a bunch of mediocre, “acclaimed” contemporary sitcoms to help you appreciate something relatively recent that deserved its praise (and that’s all I’ll say about “Abbott Elementary” until someone pays me to talk more about it). Not every episode is perfect but most are pretty damn good and even the bad ones, including the dreaded twenty-minute product placement bit for a now virtually obsolete gadget, are still good for a couple of laughs, and that most of the cast land these punchlines with ease mean I’m never confused where the punchline is (yes, that IS “Schitt’s Creek” shade).
