NieR: Automata

It almost doesn't matter that "Nier: Automata" is near best of breed in the usual metrics of what classifies a great video game, with its engaging and aurally-astounding combat, a top-notch translation, and one of the best video game soundtracks of all time. Appreciated, all, but what puts "Automata" in a class of its own is its story and characters and what everything is supposed to mean and how I'm supposed to feel about it. To get too far into its themes might spoil, but: there's only one right choice at the end, and it isn't the selfish one, y'all.
