Pac-Man (version found in the Switch port of “Namco Museum Archives Volume One” played for review)

The only differences I could find between this NES port and the original, one of the most important games of all time, were with sound effects and no overflow error that ends the game at level 256 (I looked up longplay footage to verify the latter because I was not going to play 256 levels of this). The sounds aren’t great—they might’ve been better off pursuing a different style than getting oh so close to emulating the original—but this is otherwise a damn good port of the original, far better than the more well-known and despised 2600 port.
