This, like so many other fantastic matches held in the temple, should have been a disaster. Handicap matches are almost never good, and building an entire episode around such a match reads like torture. This is Lucha Underground, however, and what’s up is down and what’s down is up and these five find a compelling narrative thread through which all this passes through, helped immensely by four of these folk being among the best wrestlers in the world (Black Lotus just has to stand around with a mean face, and she does that well). Among Lucha Underground’s best one-match episodes.
