Review (Season One)

Well, didn’t that take a twist. What starts as a silly, if dark, comedy about the logical extension of critique turns into a very human character study, and the silly episode titles disguise a very tight continuous story. Yes, it is funny—“There All Is Aching” had me rolling at its conclusion—but what I’ll remember most is the mess of emotions I felt at the end of it, and I doubt I’d feel so much if it wasn’t for Andy Daly’s exceptional performance. I won’t spoil how this show gets to such an emotional place—see it for yourself.
