Schitt’s Creek (Season One)

I’ve heard plenty of good things about this show from folk who weren’t exposed to Josh Mathews pimping the show, but while I can see how it could improve to something worthwhile, most of season one feels like weaksauce “Arrested Development”, with the only consistent shock being that the former TV Guide channel is fine with swear words. “Schitt’s Creek” gets better late in the season when it moves toward more character-based angles above setup and punchline for jokes about class divide, but it’s too little, too late, at least for this season. Point added for the conversation about wine.
