Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010 film) (revisited)

Last time, I couldn’t choose between this and “Hot Fuzz” as Wright’s masterpiece. Now: oh, c’mon, this is clearly better. “Hot Fuzz” had whole minutes of not-jokes that weren’t presented with any sort of interesting elements to the visuals while every minute of “World” is brimming with something going on, whether it’s aiming for thrills or laughs. It’s so packed with ideas, in fact, that I’m stunned few have tried to emulate any of this for their own projects—go ahead, steal from one of the greatest films of all time, see how making a good film works for you.
