Secret Little Haven

It’s impossible for me to rate the accuracy of this coming-of-age tale, the sort whose most significant plot developments are spelled out in its trigger warnings (inarguably necessary but frustrating nonetheless). What feels real, though, is the way “Haven” presents its conversations via instant messaging, with one friend going on about their love for a Sailor Moon knockoff on one screen and someone tackling a quarter-life crisis on the other and how it’s your responsibility to accept this dissonance like it’s normal. It would be easier to recommend “Haven” if it didn’t softly botch its climaxes, but it’s plenty likable.
