Shadow In the Cloud

“Cloud” is a weird stew that I’m not surprised many audiences reject from the jump, a reconfiguration of a famous “Twilight Zone” episode into a WWII-era piece written by a famous director’s pond scum of a son. That said, its disconnected tones combined with its claustrophobic setting (at least one act is shot mostly in the spatial equivalent of an outhouse) made for a thrilling adventure to yours truly, greatly helped by Chloë Grace Moretz giving more than this film arguably deserves. It ends worse than it begins, but I’d still recommend this to anyone looking for an exciting oddity.
