Solo: A Star Wars Story

"Rogue One" and "Solo" felt like attempts at a "Star Wars" version of an "Oceans" picture (convoluted scheming, hype-ass character actors in prominent roles, its existence sparking discussions about "is this story worth telling?). "Solo", unlike "Rogue", understands what makes "Oceans" films work, with great action, actors given plenty of leeway to get their characters over, and jokes that actually land. It's a two-hour film that felt half its length, and the fanboys that are still salt about "The Last Jedi" ruining their childhoods would likely be the ones who'd love this the most if they gave it a chance.
