Star Wars: Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (revisited)

“…we are what they grow beyond. That is the true burden of all masters.”

I liked “The Last Jedi” the first time I saw it, and having revisited it two years later with a fresh perspective, I now love it and am confused about the vitriol it has received. It is at once a treatise on how the cowardice of the old, powerful, and unchecked will be our undoing, the unfathomable potential of the young and hungry, and a rollicking action-adventure unafraid of presenting awe-inspiring and horrifying imagery. It’s almost on par with the best of the beloved original trilogy.
