SUWA vs. KENTA / Hideo Itami for the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship, from Pro Wrestling NOAH 2nd Great Voyage 2005

If you’ve a disdain for puroresu’s love affair with respect and rituals, SUWA should be your favorite wrestler of all time. His shitass heel tactics are so effective that even Tsuyoshi Kikuchi, a respectful man that’s usually the image of grace, gets up on the apron and shouts what I imagine is the Japanese equivalent of “YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME, YOU BALD S.O.B.?!” KENTA is awesome, of course, but this one is all SUWA; the champ may as well be a broomstick. It’s not the best match of KENTA’s life, but it’s certainly SUWA’s finest bit of business.
