The Blair Witch Project (1999 film)

The first massively-successful found footage horror movie trades in many of the genre’s comic thrills in favor of realism, and how much you respect that will determine “Blair”’s worth to you. I think most of it is good, though, for its brief runtime, it still feels like it would have played better with ten to twenty minutes of the middle cut out. I knew “Blair Witch” was fake after looking up more info about it right after seeing an ad for it, but it still comes across as what WOULD happen if this were real. Still prefer “The Last Exorcism”.
