The Little Prince (2015 film)

"The Little Prince" suffers from being pulled at both ends. There is no way it could have gotten the budget needed to convey the story of "The Little Prince" as beautifully as it does without playing ball with Universal, but the framing story presumably added to get people in the theater (ha) actively detracts from the film, simplifying the message of the story to rote hippy shit and hurting the story's resolution. "The Little Prince" is among the most visually arresting animated films of its decade, and that's where most of one's enjoyment of it is going to come from.
