Vampire Survivors (Version 1.0, 140 of 140 achievements unlocked)

With the complete “Vampire Survivors” experience out there (until the 1.5 DLC that’ll cost two-hundred times the price of the base game), it’s easier to see the design as a whole and appreciate what it’s going for. Beyond the shallow gameplay and transparent trademark infringement is a crafted path that shows off just how much can be milled from this single-stick shooter, reveling in absurdity without overextending its lore—the game knows it is dumb, but it is not ashamed of itself for it. I’ve spent over one hundred hours in this game and most of it has been wonderful.
