WWE Royal Rumble 2023

The men’s Rumble was among the best battle royale matches held in some time, if not of all time, and the explosive reaction to the show-closing angle confirmed that storyline payoffs months in the making, no matter what some short-sighted analysts might tell you, can still work in the modern age. Everything else was okay at best, awful at worst, with the women’s title match being the most baffling by being relatively low-key for a match between one of the most athletically gifted wrestlers in WWE and a fitness model turned conduit for demonic forces. Better than last year’s show.
