My Life As a Zucchini

If "My Life As a Zucchini" looks to you like one of those critically acclaimed films that earned its praise on the back of critics that mistake misery for depth, surprise, you're totally right. "Zucchini" is more of a mood piece than a narrative, giving its cast of orphans (of course) little to do for its short runtime and the closest thing to a storyline thrust being an abusive aunt who wants her sister's kid because, um, that's never explained. It's a good thing this film looks as good as it does and doesn't waste too much of your time.
