Sator

I love a horror film with a story you must parse; you’re using the time you would be getting jump-scared in a bad feature to sort through what’s been presented and what can be reasonably assumed about what you’ve seen. “Sator” is a rumination about mental health, not-so-subtly illustrated with an elderly woman talking about her best friend title character whose status of existing remains in question for much of the film and subtly illustrated by later story elements I’ll not talk about further. A slow burn that’s more affecting than any horror film I’ve seen so far this year.
