The Dark Knight Rises

Yes, I’m very much aware of the plot holes, and no, I can’t explain most of them away. Also, the film is at least half an hour too long, Bane’s voice can be hard to understand at times (though, really, it’s fine for the most part), and a late heel turn is diminished by it being obvious to comic nerds. That said, here’s why I still like it: for once, Batman is the most interesting character in a Batman film. This is a mostly solid film whose biggest mistake is that it isn’t as good as what came before it.
